Presenting to Camera for Social Media Video

A very practical and interactive workshop -  spend time working out what “on camera” presenting style works best for you and learn to fine-tune those skills.

Working with short scripts participants, as part of the process, will look at presenting to camera for video in the following ways:

Memorizing lines - short memorised scripts can work well and be practiced with some movement to seem like they are “off the cuff” to a viewer.

Ad-lib - there’s something natural and sincere about this style of presenting but it doesn’t work for everyone and still needs some planning.

Using autocue – An autocue or Pad Prompter can be a great tool and really helpful for presenting complex information or several videos in the one day. But there’s an art to mastering it to not sound or look like you are reading. We will set up an autocue for participants to practice this format.

Throughout the workshop, Lisa will coach participants on their body language and provide handy hints and direction for 'on camera'. We will review the footage - a really useful tool for participants to understand and get to know their presenting persona and what they need to do to be most engaging.

Finally we will look at scripting and editing tips for creating shareable social media video content.
